ABOUT THE LODGE

What we are

We gather to foster brotherhood and engage in meaningful dialogue. Our lodge provides a space where individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life can find unity and work together for the betterment of society.

Our ceremonial traditions encourage tolerance, respect, and civic and charitable responsibility. We also make time to eat, drink and meet together, and form lifelong friendships.

OUR HISTORY

The lodge’s beginnings

Green Lake Lodge first met in October 1905 and received its charter in June 1906.

  1. 1905

    A lodge takes shape

Fred Weyant and fellow Masons asked Doric Lodge No. 92 to sponsor a new lodge in the Green Lake area. The first meeting was held on October 3.

  2. 1906

    Our charter is granted

In June, the Grand Lodge of Washington granted a charter, establishing Green Lake Lodge No. 149, Free and Accepted Masons.

  3. 1922

    A new temple

Following the formation of the Green Lake Masonic Association in 1921, the cornerstone was laid on February 25, 1922. The temple was dedicated on June 29.
